In addition to UPS, FEDEX, DHL International and USPS, we are equipped to handle shipping beyond the traditional. Depending on the item we
can use LTL (less than a load) trucking systems, a national moving van line for whole or partial household moves, or an air freight
forwarders for items too large for the typical UPS or FEDEX system.
We can make arrangements for motorcycles, cars, pianos or your grandmother's armoire. Call or contact us for a quote or more information.
We can provide custom packaging, standard packaging with bubble wrap and/or loosefill or you can do your own packaging*.
*IF WE DO THE PACKAGING AND SHIP IT ON OUR ACCOUNT, WE CAN DECLARE A VALUE FOR BOTH LOSS AND DAMAGE.
IF THE ITEM IS CUSTOMER PACKAGED, WE CAN ONLY DECLARE A VALUE FOR LOSS ONLY.

The Rules
UPS and FEDEX have a weight limit of 150 lbs
USPS has a a weight limit of 70 lbs
UPS and FEDEX have a size limit of 165"(length and girth)
USPS has a limit of 108"(length and girth)
UPS and FEDEX will only deliver to street addresses - NO PO Boxes!

Lithium batteries are now considered hazmat and have special rules
What to do if there is a claim
Filing a Claim for loss or damage for UPS, FedEx or DHL:
Save ALL the packing material and box - take photos. The carriers will automatically refuse to pay a claim if they cannot inspect the box and packing materials the items were shipped in.

Parcel Place does NOT offer coverage for items sent through the USPS.

Locate any receipts or other proof of value. Items of more than $100 in value will require photographs in a claim situation. This makes processing your claim go more quickly. Claims and tracers can only be placed on the above carriers.
